We all have habits. Good ones, bad ones, and neutral ones.
Do you brush your teeth as soon as you wake up? Or after breakfast? Do you unplug the toaster after using it? Do you drive the same way to work every day?
These unconscious habits help us live our lives without having to overthink everything.
Make something a habit and you no longer have to think about it.
But what if you’re trying to change a habit?
You have to start thinking about the thing you do that you do without thinking about it.
Eek!
Habits matter. A lot.
For the next 3 months, we’re reading and discussing Atomic Habits, by James Clear. I chose this book partly because of one of his quotes that struck a chord with me:
“Every action you take is a vote for the person you wish to become.”
We are all casting votes with our habits.
Are your habits casting votes for the person you wish to become?
Join us for the book club & discussions on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Starting Wednesday, Feb 9th. Email me to get the link.
Happy reading!
