Oh, the what-ifs…
What if you start, and then soon after, you stop? 🛑
What if it takes longer than you think to see changes? 🗓
What if you don’t know what to do? 🤷♀️
What if you do the wrong thing? 😑
What if you start something and decide you don’t like it? 👎
What if? What if? What if?
But… What if you *don’t* start? 🤔
Author Jordan Peterson has a great exercise where he asks people to envision what their life will look like in 20 years if they *don’t* take the positive steps they say they want to take. Add 20 years to your age and ask: what will my life look like if I don’t, for example: start exercising or start setting boundaries…
We’re good at finding roadblocks that keep us from doing the thing we say we want to do. But I really like flipping it on it’s head by asking: what if I don’t start?
Because I’ll tell you, you’ll want to stop 🛑, it will likely take longer than you want 🗓, you’ll be confused at times 🤷♀️, you may do something that’s not right for you 😑, and you may try something and not like it 👎.
But don’t not start because you’re worried it won’t work (too many double negatives there… I think it works though😅!)
This is where you need someone you can trust to help you with the process.
If you’re ready to start or shift your fitness routine, let’s chat and see if this is the right fit for you.
