My friend Marilyn has had a lot of ups and downs over the last couple of years.
With accidents, surgeries, new medications, we’ve been as consistent as we can with her training.
Sometimes we only do stretching & balance, because that’s what she needs.
Although she ALWAYS asks to deadlift the bar. 🤪
As a trainer, sometimes your job is to motivate & push your students to work more or harder. Other times your job is to use your experience & intuition to give them what they need. Which may not be exactly what they want.
Today was a nice day for both of us – she got what she wanted 🏋🏼♀️ & I was able to work her favorite movement into her training 💪.
