Where are you going?

➡️ If I’m trying to get to Michigan, which direction should I travel?

↗️ For those of you who know I live in California, you would suggest northeast.

❓But what if you didn’t know that I was currently in Alabama? 🤷‍♀️You’d be giving me the wrong directions.

It’s important to locate yourself to know which direction to travel.

And… if you have a co-pilot, you’re not going to blindfold them and ask them which way to turn… You’ll be much better off if they know where you’re starting and where you want to go.

In the fitness industry, we talk a lot about goals & say things like: if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there.

But what about knowing where you are? My good friend and teacher @dianachristinson with @pacificashtanga teaches a lesson about the compass.

It is common knowledge that: with a compass 🧭 to point you in the right direction and a good map 🗺 , you can get to where you want to go.

What is often forgotten when talking about a compass is that you need to locate *yourself* before you can determine your route. 🧘‍♀️

Locate yourself…

And be honest. With yourself and your copilot.

More on this later… 😉
