I was attracted to Pacific Strength primarily because of its comprehensiveness. I can address cardio by running and strength by weight training, and I do so when I have time, but [the PS] workouts do both. Also, Pacific Strength uniquely addresses the abdominal muscles. Thus, if I will have time for only one workout this week, Pacific Strength will be it. Secondarily, I like the comradery of a group workout, as well as the extra push of having an instructor.

When I first started, it seemed strange… I never believed in wasting money on personal trainers but was made curious by meeting Val and probably realizing how little I knew. I keep coming back (after 10+ years!) because of the feeling of accomplishment of bettering myself and the knowledge of the importance of strength training as I age. Also the intelligence that Val possesses about the purpose of all the different types of training for your body development. All of the other trainers are also well qualified and considerate of me, I appreciate the individual care that I am given there and the understanding of my limitations at times and alternative things for me to do.

Since coming to Pacific Strength, I have a renewed interest in exercising and my kids – baseball & volleyball players have seen a definite improvement in strength.

I feel stronger overall and I get good cardio without hurting my knees.
Paul P.

As a long-distance runner, I liked the idea of a condensed workout and was looking to add some strength training as a cross-training exercise.
Joanne K.

I love the difference I’ve seen in my body and my strength. Small classes, great trainers and amazing people.
K.G.

The consistent quality of the training is the biggest factor. And I enjoy the sense of community that you have developed.

Since training at Pacific Strength, my strength and confidence have increased together.

Getting older is inevitable, so getting stronger is critical.

The workout kicks my butt, and so I’m happy when I leave (yes, the duality of that statement is intended).
John B.

It’s the combination of trainers and the members/students who workout that creates an atmosphere that draws you back again and again. A sense of family and closeness unlike anywhere else! I love everyone there, truly love them.
Marilyn K.

At Pacific Strength, I get challenged by the instructors. They are concerned about good form, which I need to build strength while repairing old injuries.
Paul P.

Since training at Pacific Strength, I have confidence in myself. Learning when to push myself or when to modify. Proper form is key! If I’m going to do something, I want to do it right!

I had been injured at other gyms, and needed a workout that would help me heal.

I love that it includes strength and stretching as well as covering fundamentals in each class. It is the whole body, sort of like yoga but with kettlebells. You connect your body to your mind to master the movements.
Suzanne K.

I started strength training in order to cross-train for my long-distance running races and I notice a big difference in how I feel during my races when I’ve been strength training. But beyond running, I feel better in general with everyday activities with a stronger core.
Joanne K.

Pacific Strength has changed my life. Exercise was never a priority before I started working out at the gym. Now I build my day around class and love how it sets me up with the mental and physical strength I need to tackle life each day.
Kristin G.

I have gained strength in all parts of my body, and if I take a week or two off, I don’t feel like I have lost too much strength because there are options to regain.
S.K.

I love the small classes, fun and motivating people, good schedule, and it’s really exciting to get stronger.

The kettlebell workout (as I call the Pacific Strength program, even when we don’t use kettlebells) is not only an important part of my training, it’s an important part of my life. I think that your greatest testimonial is the significant number of students approaching a decade in the classes you started. That’s a lot of impact! We love and appreciate what you do.
John B.

I come to Pacific Strength because it’s really personal. I feel like the staff is invested in seeing clients succeed.
Lauren D.

I’ve never been to another “gym” like Pacific Strength. They know you and your body, they challenge you while accommodating previous injuries, and they hold you accountable while having fun. The training is great, but the people are even better.
Andrea T.

I love coming here. I can’t say how much I value all of the ladies that run this place. Even when I can’t hang with the swingers, nobody ever makes me feel like I don’t belong.
Andrea T.

I love the workouts (never the same workout twice) and the small class sizes. Everyone that works out there (including the instructors) is friendly so classes are fun, but still super challenging). The workout is what you make it, you can push yourself or take it easy when you need to, and the instructors always seem to know just how much to push you – which I really appreciate. I personally do not like gyms or lifting weights, but I know how important strength training is for feeling strong and healthy – so this class is the perfect fit for me!
Joanne K.

I love the small group classes and the high-level of teaching. Also, love the wonderful community!
A.L.

I’ve seen an improvement in my mood, stamina in my day and a toned body!
K.G.

I have seen continued growth in body awareness (learning about how to move our bodies correctly and how our bodies respond to the exercise or practice we do). I also love how strong I’ve gotten!
A.L.

I credit the strength I’ve gained through kettlebells with helping me avoid more serious injuries in jiu jitsu ?
